Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to your information when you use this website, which is run by Kemi Faboye.
What this website collects
- Email sign-ups. If you sign up (for the free 4C Parent Starter Guide or the 4C community), we collect your first name and email address, plus a record of what you agreed to, which form you used and when.
- What we don’t collect. We only ask for your first name and email address. We never ask about your children, your family circumstances or your parenting.
- The reflection tool. Your answers stay in your browser while you use it. They are not saved, not stored in cookies and not sent to us or anyone else. Refreshing or leaving the page clears them.
- The review box. What you type stays in your browser. When you choose to post it, it is copied to your device’s clipboard and Amazon’s review page opens; you post it yourself on Amazon. Nothing is sent to us.
- Cookies. This website does not set cookies.
- Analytics. This website does not currently use analytics or tracking tools.
- Hosting. Like all websites, our hosting provider may process technical information such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, to deliver and secure the site.
Email sign-ups: how we use your details
- Purpose. To send you what you asked for: the free guide, and, only if you opted in, occasional emails from Kemi Faboye with practical ideas, reflections and book updates.
- Lawful basis. Your consent. Sending the guide is something you requested; marketing emails are sent only if you ticked the box or joined the 4C community. Signing up for the guide never requires you to accept marketing.
- Where it’s stored. In a database run by our website host, Cloudflare (data located in Western Europe). We are not yet sending emails. When we start, your details will be passed to an email service provider, which we’ll name here before that happens.
- We never sell or share your details with anyone else, and we don’t buy or rent email lists.
- Unsubscribing. Every marketing email will include a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.
- How long we keep it. Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After an unsubscribe we keep only what’s needed to make sure we don’t email you again.
Buying the book
When you select a buy button, you leave this website for Amazon UK (or Selar, if you choose it), which handles checkout and payment. This website never sees your payment details. Amazon’s and Selar’s own privacy notices apply to anything you share with them.
Your rights and contact
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
